Description
This session will cover the fundamental Autodesk Fusion workflows necessary for using the Fusion Manufacturing Workspace. Pre-learning will include searching for Fusion Post Processors and Machine Simulation Files on the HSM Posts Landing page to help users obtain the correct tools needed to generate their required NC code for machining components. The session will also explore Modelling for Manufacture workflows, briefly covering the Design Workspace, but focusing on Manufacturing Models and their manipulation. Attendees will then learn about basic machining strategies within Autodesk Fusion, available in the Base version of the software. This session aims to provide attendees, particularly new and exploratory users, with a basic understanding of the Autodesk Fusion Manufacturing Workspace and the qualifications required to use it as their future CAM solution.
Key Learnings
- Understanding how to qualify Autodesk Fusion as your go to CAD/CAM Solution. Search and Locate qualifying Post Processors, Machine Tool Simulation Files and known Tool Libraries Suppliers.
- An introduction to the Fusion Manufacturing Workspace. Import and work with component parts and work holding devices. Building digital twins with component parts, work holding devices and machine simulation files.
- Getting started with 2.5axis and 3Axis machining strategies. Assigning Tools from the Tool Library. Working with simulation files and producing NC Code.
