Clear diagrams are critical for translating MEP designs into something contractors can build in the field. However, creating those diagrams is often a slow, manual process drawing connection lines, placing detail items, and constantly checking the diagram against the model. Electrical one-line diagrams are prime examples, regularly taking several hours to draft for each project. What if that process could happen automatically? This session will demonstrate how you can use model data to generate clean, accurate one-line diagrams with the click of a button. Using pyRevit as the backdrop, we'll walk through the process of transforming structured model information into fully drafted diagrams reducing hours of manual drafting down to seconds.

This presentation will walk you through the workflow of utilizing A360 and BIM 360 Glue software from a perspective of the natural gas industry. Witness the lifecycle from engineering through construction along with the key resource usage and efficiencies. Discuss lessons learned and key items utilized to make these tools successful additions to a Building Information Modeling (BIM) project lifecycle.

DPR Construction has the opportunity to work on some of the biggest projects across the globe. But rooted in the company's culture is a focus on applying excellence to projects of any scale. Small projects bring a set of challenges of their own: tight schedules, limited budget, thinly spread teams, and, most of the time, existing conditions. Virtual design and construction (VDC) can play a big role in delivering successful outcomes, but it takes the right mix of people, process, and technology. Join us for an engaging session where we'll walk through how DPR adapts to the unique challenges of smaller projects. We'll talk about the technology we almost always apply (spoiler: it's reality capture) and what tech we leave at home. And finally, we'll describe the type of person required to overcome small project challenges and how we go beyond collaboration with training, design support, and access to Autodesk tools.

New regulations, requirements and guidelines around sustainability are emerging rapidly around the world. The commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water and waste calls for sustainable buildings and infrastructure. Sustainability regulations and requirements in Scandinavia (and the rest of Europe) are putting forward demands that require new ways of working and better data insight e.g., Environmental Production Declaration (EPD) data. One example is that all new buildings above a certain size need to be Life-cycle Assessment (LCA) documented and compliant. Do we have the digital tools needed to work with sustainability in an efficient way? In this panel some of the Scandinavia's largest architect companies and engineering companies together with NTI (one of Autodesk's largest global partners) will share how they are working with digital tools and solutions to be compliant with sustainability regulations and how they see this developing in the future.

Managing quality control data in building information modeling (BIM) can be challenging, particularly in large-scale projects with numerous stakeholders. In this presentation, we will explore how tools like Vcad from Blogic and Autodesk Tandem software can help overcome these challenges. Vcad provides real-time quality control data management and analysis, streamlining the process and facilitating collaboration between project stakeholders. Autodesk Tandem, on the other hand, allows project teams to easily manage and visualize BIM data throughout the project lifecycle, improving data management and coordination. Together, these tools provide a powerful solution for managing quality control data in BIM. In this session, you'll learn about the benefits of using these tools, including improved project outcomes, reduced costs, and increased efficiency. We'll provide examples of how Vcad and Autodesk Tandem have been used in large-scale construction projects, and we'll share best practices for implementing these tools

In this session, members of the product team will present an overview of how the new electrical analytical workflow provides an on-ramp to electrical design based in building information modeling (BIM). Capturing engineering requirements using minimal model creation overhead provides capabilities historically disconnected and spread across multiple applications. We'll discuss what's next for these workflows, and explain our vision for connecting to downstream design. We'll also share some insights into how this functionality ties to the Advanced Electrical Design for Revit offering from Schneider Electric.

In this joint presentation, Autodesk and SOFiSTiK will showcase the usage of the Revit API in an industrial application. SOFiSTiK, a development partner of Autodesk, builds its structural analysis application upon Revit software, providing a workflow that's fully integrated in building information modeling (BIM), from modeling to design and detailing. Structural engineers can analyze buildings in Revit, allowing them to be in constant connection with the intelligent model. The application uses the rich Revit API to extend and customize Revit functionality. We'll present different use cases, such as generating and modifying the analytical model or displaying analysis results. The direct connection with the intelligent model enables access to new insights, allowing informed decisions and more-efficient checking of the downstream detailing processes. Additional insights in how development teams of Autodesk and SOFiSTiK work together will complete this presentation.

This session is a follow-up to 2022's "Hard Questions Only! Multidiscipline Panel on BIM and Digital Transformation." With this expert panel representing technology leaders from across architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO), we will delve further into the hard questions of digital transformation. It's easy to assume that everyone is "doing building information modeling (BIM),” but this panel wants to dig deeper and talk about the challenges that remain as our industry goes through a digital transformation. We'll go beyond the easy wins and discuss what BIM adoption really looks like and how hard it is to drive change. How is the escalation in tools changing our production process, and what does it mean for how we manage our projects and firms? What does the shift to data-driven work mean for an industry based around design studios and professionally licensed staff? Importantly, this panel will represent diverse views to understand how the responses and need for change vary across disciplines.
