Effective Building Information Modeling (BIM) collaboration cloud environment is one of the key things that emerges as a time-saver in terms of communication and with respect to team members collaborating on model changes in the central cloud that the entire team is accessing. A360 BIM collaborative environment really helps to reduce direct communications and email chasing between clients and BIM service providers because models can be viewed directly in clouds without any software installations on the systems. Any type of updates, by team members or from clients, can be easily seen and replied to directly in the cloud at any time. This is a very good environment for holding client meetings to mark up and track live projects without using software, even when you are in mobile access. This guarantees that all team members—both on-site and at the desk—will have access to the correct files, project data, and designs. The purpose of this class will be to illustrate how the Building Information Modeling (BIM) products interact together to create a collaborative environment throughout the building construction lifecycle. We will provide an overview of BIM 360 software products that includes useful tips and best practices for administrators and new users in the set up, use, and distribution of information gathered from preconstruction to project handover.

Autodesk, Inc.'s, cloud services change names more often than some people change their socks. As such, these services can be rather confusing. Despite their malleable call signs, these cloud tools can have dramatic impacts on your workflow. We will focus on 2 specific services in this class, namely the Autodesk 360 cloud-computing platform and the AutoCAD 360 web app. We will look at the history of these services as well as their feature sets, creating and utilizing accounts and where these services can impact your workflow.

In this class, we cover the basics of integration using Autodesk PLM 360 Connect. We provide a review of the Autodesk PLM 360 Connect toolset and an overview of the Autodesk PLM 360 application programming interface (API). To review these topics, we create a basic integration between Autodesk PLM 360 cloud-based product lifecycle management software and NetSuite® to manage NetSuite suppliers from within Autodesk PLM 360. Supplier management is easy using the workflow in Autodesk PLM 360. During the class, we build a connector to create and manage suppliers in NetSuite.

InfraWorks 360 LT software is a powerful tool, but it really comes alive when it’s upgraded to InfraWorks 360 software, including the 3 industry-specific applications that address roads, bridges, and drainage. This class will build on basic InfraWorks 360 software knowledge and show the more advanced use of the industry-specific applications, as well as other features like Model Builder, Corridor and Profile Optimization, and InfraWorks 360 software in the cloud.

This class is for people who want an in-person and up-close introduction to Fusion 360 software. We'll cover the basics, from login to exit, sketch to part, to assembly and beyond. The intent is to give you an overview that will help you understand the scope and power of Fusion 360 software, whether you’re a CAD veteran or just curious about what it can do for you. This session features Fusion 360 and A360.

In this hands-on Autodesk PLM 360 software scripting lab, you learn how to navigate the Autodesk PLM 360 scripting application programming interface (API), the editor, and the event management system. You learn how to create, manage, and navigate condition, validation, action, and library scripts. We explore several scripting solutions that come in Autodesk PLM 360 standard tenants and modify them to meet new requirements. Additionally, we create new scripts to solve new business requirements. This class includes some presentation; however, you mostly do hands-on editing and creating and invoking Autodesk PLM 360 scripts. Attendees should have a working knowledge of server-side JavaScript. Autodesk PLM 360 knowledge is also helpful.

Autodesk 360 is a cloud-based platform of services such as file storage, viewing, collaboration, rendering, and much more. In this class, you will see what services are included for any Autodesk 360 account holder, as well as what extra perks are available for Subscription customers.

Take a walk through the Autodesk Fusion 360 connected data platform, from product design to manufacturing. Tour a seamlessly connected process that goes from Fusion 360 to Upchain to Fusion 360 Manage and finally to Prodsmart. The Team D3 rock stars for these products will be on stage presenting a coordinated role-based demo of product data passed through each primary product in the Fusion 360 cloud-based platform, powered under the hood by Team D3's ForgeFlow integration, existing Autodesk in-product integrations, and open-source tech sales demonstration tools such as Sven Dickmans' manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) tool. We'll focus on the product experience and proof of the convergence use cases from beginning to end in the design-to-manufacture lifecycle. This session will focus on the Fusion 360 cloud products used for product design (Autodesk Fusion 360), product data management (Upchain), product lifecycle management (Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage), and manufacturing execution (Prodsmart), as well as a connected data pathway between them all.

BIM 360 Insight software offers a new way to review project performance. Those activities and interactions happen within the BIM 360 account and would be recorded, calculated, and summarized accurately and shown in the BIM 360 Insight module. To extend the benefits of data management in the same cloud base, we can import and link an external data source to BIM 360 software. Microsoft Power BI is the important media to connect the extra statistics and link with BIM 360. We will introduce more possible data analysis tools such as Google Colab and Python.

This class will look at the Fusion 360 application's APIs (application programming interfaces) and how you can use these APIs to extend the Fusion 360 app functionality. We will also discuss how you can use the APIs as part of your automation or integration processes.

This class will cover the uses of the Autodesk 360 cloud services-based products. We will look at the Autodesk 360 Sync service and discuss how to use it with AutoCAD software and AutoCAD LT software. We will cover syncing your files as well as your customization. Do you need to sync everything, or just specific files? We will also look at the Autodesk 360 web app and how it ties to the Autodesk 360 Sync service, and we'll discover how to upload files without using the Autodesk 360 Sync service. Last but not least, we will go over the Autodesk 360 mobile app and how you can use it to view your files in the field and collaborate with others. At the end of this class you will have a much better understanding of each of these features, and you'll know when you really need to use them, or not use them.

This hands-on lab will demonstrate a reverse-engineering workflow that uses ReCap 360 software to move a real-life object into the Fusion 360 3D CAD design app, moving items from the ground to the cloud. In the Fusion 360 app, attendees will discover how to use OBJ files produced from photogrammetry to create powerful designs in the Fusion 360 app.

This class will give an overview of the most highly used workflows of BIM 360 Field software and go into detail about how the new BIM 360 products can not only replace existing workflows, but actually improve upon them, and maximize efficiency on an integrated platform.

In this class, we will create a project in A360 cloud-based collaboration service. We will learn how to invite project contributors. We will review the differences between project contributors and team members, and we’ll change rights to demonstrate the differences. Once the project is set up on A360, we will learn how to host a cloud Revit software model on the A360 project we created. We will also review added features, such as publishing to A360 and the Communicator. At the end of the class, you will be able to host Revit software models to the cloud for projects, communicate with the project team effectively, and invite the team to contribute to the desired project. This hands-on lab class will start out by teaching you how to navigate the A360 Team hub and what all the parts are. Then we will teach you how to create a project and add both 2D and 3D data to that project. Once you have uploaded your 2D and 3D data, we can take a look at how to use the Large Model Viewer to view over 100 file types. You can isolate parts as well as turn different parts of the model on and off. We will go over how to invite others to your project and how to share files with them. This includes public and private file sharing. You will leave this lab knowing how to create and edit projects; share files; and collaborate with teams, clients, and customers.

In the class, you'll learn how to use your FormIt 360 data for high-end presentations in the product and with other software from Autodesk, Inc. We will cover several exporting file formats (including FBX, OBJ, and DAE) and demonstrate how these work best with other applications such as InfraWorks software and 3ds Max software. You will learn best practices for working with materials, lighting, and cameras across each software platform, and we will review different rendering engines for stills versus animations. By the end of this class, you will be able to present and animate your FormIt 360 data for high-end presentations. This session features FormIt 360 and InfraWorks 360. AIA Approved

Learn how to share models from Revit software to BIM 360 Docs software using BIM 360 Design software, and then how to use this model in BIM 360 Model Coordination for Clash Detection, reviewing clash with team, creating issues, and more. Model Coordination provides a shared space to publish, review, and run clashes on your latest set of project models and upload 3D models to a centralized Model Coordination folder, and the clash service automatically locates any issues in those models. BIM 360 Design is a cloud work-sharing and design-collaboration product built for distributed, multidisciplinary teams. With BIM 360 Design, you can co-author Revit models in the cloud, control work-sharing activities, and coordinate deliverable exchange across teams.
