Using our Autodesk suite to reshape our design process and owning our IP has enabled sustainable scaling and the delivery of large pipelines of work for central government using off-site construction methods. This success has led to a 300% increase in our manufacturing capacity in the last three years, while maintaining client satisfaction with the quality of our design and project delivery. We'll explain how this has been achieved through repeatable and continuously improved designs, supported by Autodesk Build and Autodesk Docs software. In the second half of this talk, the focus will shift toward the potential of Autodesk Informed Design software and how it can facilitate a platform design through the development of subassemblies, ultimately supporting off-site construction by maximizing productivity and improving quality through increased industrialization.

Autodesk Docs now include workflows in support of ISO 19650 – an international design and construction information management standard. Governments across the world realize that inconsistent standards and practices are leading to huge inefficiencies and are mandating that these processes are adhered to. Unforeseen events like Covid have exposed how quickly things can change and we’ve have had to learn the hard way that the industry needs to be better prepared for the future. The need for a robust and powerful CDE solution is now more important than ever. Autodesk Docs provides comprehensive capabilities for managing construction records through their entire life cycle and it’s all in the cloud! In this class we will demonstrate how document controllers can manage and optimize the document management process, handle the review, exchange, and distribution of project drawings, models, all while maintaining a consistent naming standard.

Surveyors, engineers, and governments all collect significant amounts of spatial data and supporting documentation such as design drawings and metadata. When undertaking new projects, it is important to have easy access to all the supporting information, especially in the context of geographic location. While you can store documents and their associated properties using document management systems such as Vault software or BIM 360 Docs software, those systems do not directly enable integration with a geographic information system (GIS). By accessing the Vault and/or Forge API along with Esri’s JavaScript and REST APIs, you can directly integrate GIS data to provide better, more versatile access to this data.
