Anybody Can Do IT: Easily Build Revit Content in Inventor
There is an increasing desire to build custom designs that can more easily convert from traditional mechanical and industrial CAD tools into BIM (Building Information Modeling)-ready content that can be utilized inside of Revit software. Inventor software has the capability to generate Revit-ready content, but often this requires specialized knowledge of the process. What if things didn’t have to be this way? Forging BIM Configurator for HVAC Systems
The industry is moving from mass production to customized solutions, creating a tremendous increase in the demand for custom BIM (Building Information Modeling) software solutions. However, custom solutions are expensive to develop. With Forge, you can build custom BIM configurators with minimum investment and time. We created a custom simulation app for HVAC professionals to produce a sustainable design. The app simulates the performance of design spaces and HVAC systems configuration in the cloud. The class will demonstrate how to use Forge to create a new user-defined office build space. We will elaborate on how the assembly of complex 3D HVAC system configurations can be created. You will see how Revit design automation APIs can construct an accurate intelligent model on the server. Attendees will learn these techniques, as well as how to create vast varieties of online BIM system configurators such as kitchen design, furniture design, infrastructure design, and others.

Comparing Five Industrial 3D-Printing Methods: MJF, SLS, FDM, SLA, and DLS
Join Xometry’s Greg Paulsen for an in-depth comparison between five major, plastic 3D printing processes. Vault and Inventor Properties: Working Together for Better Data Management
Managing the metadata associated with your designs can be a confusing task. If you are using Vault software, the first step in the process is realizing that Vault Properties and Inventor software’s iProperties are actually different. Also, you have to understand the difference between a Vault system property and a Vault user-defined property. Once you understand all the different types of properties involved, how do you get them to work together? This class will guide you through the journey, from understanding the difference between iProperties versus Vault properties and Vault system properties and Vault user-defined properties. Then we will demonstrate how to create the proper mappings that will enable them to work seamlessly together. We will discuss different ways to use this data, from searching Vault for these properties to how to use those properties on drawing title blocks and parts lists.

Design Focused for Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM), better known as 3D printing, is disrupting the manufacturing industry. Its capabilities and build processes make additive technologies ideal for applications such as light-weighting and component consolidation. In order to fully capitalize on the awesome power of AM, an understanding of the technology and its limitations is crucial. However, this is not a natural skill for most designers and engineers. Since AM is so new and different from traditional manufacturing, it comes with a completely different set of design considerations. When properly understood and applied, design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) can vastly improve printing times and it results in higher-quality parts. Inventor: Back to the Basics
This class will be an introduction or reintroduction to Inventor software. It will also go into general detail about a lot of the common issues that come up on the Inventor Forum. It is generally understood that there are a greater number of intermediate and advanced Inventor sessions at Autodesk University; however, sometimes you need to go back to the basics and introduce/reintroduce people to some of these features they may or may not know about or understand—whether it's how to find them, or how to use them. This session will feature Inventor Professional 2021- 2018, and the handout will include some information on older versions information.
