Then, Stephen invites representatives from Motherson SAS on stage to share their organizational strategy for in the factory. CEO Frederic Boumaza and CIO Praveen Chinta will discuss their approach to planning, deploying, and maintaining a Digital Workplace, and how they included business stakeholders and technology in the decision-making process. Using Autodesk Platform Services (APS), Inventor, and FlexSim, they have implemented solutions for building optimization, production optimization, and real-time monitoring, leading to outcomes like increased energy efficiency, reduced downtime, and improved production flexibility.

 

Process bottlenecks and related issues often require complex and dynamic solutions. Discover how FlexSim recommends process improvements from live data, and see how the FlexSim OptQuest optimization engine solves multidimensional problems. OptQuest uses machine learning to evaluate multiparameter input groups in order to strategically determine optimal outcomes across various performance objectives. This method provides faster and more intelligent solutions to intricate problems than manual techniques do. In scenarios with constantly evolving operational inputs, FlexSim can be configured as a live Digital Workplace, continuously operating at set intervals, and using live data streams based on system feedback and artificial intelligence (AI) predictions. This approach necessitates specific model programming, which we will explore. By implementing these advanced techniques, businesses can significantly improve their process optimization capabilities, addressing complex challenges more effectively than traditional methods allow.

This session is about the new BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflow for bridge design with InfraWorks software, Inventor software, Civil 3D software, Revit software, and Structural Bridge Design software. InfraWorks has become the Autodesk center tool for bridge design in realistic contexts. You can easily and quickly design any bridge proposition. Structural parts of the bridge are automatically predesigned according to each span. With InfraWorks, you can perform line girder analysis in the cloud. You can download the structural analysis file to perform structural analysis with Structural Bridge Design. Customized parametric bridge parts can be created and modified with Inventor and added in InfraWorks. This workflow gives a lot of freedom to create any kind of bridge. Civil 3D will help optimize alignment and profile earthworks and gradings. You can send InfraWorks bridge to Revit with a BIM dynamic link. When adopting Building Information Modeling (BIM), the longest slog is creating the family files that you'll need to generate your designs productively. But there's already so much great content out there on building product suppliers' websites-couldn't you just use that? We all know that it's not that simple. Manufacturing models are not only far more complicated than we require for BIM: they rarely contain the data we need. So how can building product manufacturers, suppliers, and specifiers work together more closely to share data in ways that benefit all parties? In this presentation, we'll tell the stories of customers who've taken on the challenge. We'll look at the problems they've faced and the solutions they've implemented, and we'll discuss the merits of each. The challenges of sharing data with the right amount of detail at the right time are by no means solved. We're interested in your views on this subject, and we look forward to some lively debate!

Reverse engineering is an essential part of product development process. Whether you are a designer doing benchmark or retrofitting an older design, you need to work with incomplete data. Digesting the incomplete data and changing it into useful model geometry is a science and an art. Generally, most CAD tools have provided some capabilities to enable varying levels of reverse engineering. Inventor 2017 software particularly offers quite a few workflows to help the reverse engineering process. It enables the users to obtain high-fidelity results. This class will demonstrate how we've created a strategy and EIR for a project that will run for the next 8 years and which will attract future tenants. We’ll show this from a project management point of view: management of the design stakeholders, management of design, BIM for master planning, quantification, the use of BIM for visualisation/VR, and BIM as a product to attract tenants. From a construction management view, we'll demonstrate trade design coordination, supply chain management/education, BIM on-site, 4D sequencing and construction optimisation, and BIM use for tenant engagement.

This talk will present how the integration of Autodesk Nastran software, Helius PFA software with Advanced Material Exchange (AME) capabilities, and Moldflow software work together in the real world of complex composite simulations. Composite materials are an advanced family of materials that have been in development for decades and continue to gain usage in the aerospace, marine, automotive, and sporting goods industries. While composites enjoy benefits such as high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios, they are considerably more complicated than most metals and plastics. Helius PFA with its AME capabilities is part of the Autodesk Solution for digital prototyping, and it provides fast, accurate, and flexible tools for enhanced finite element analysis (FEA) of composite structures-manufactured from unidirectional or woven composites to injection-molded, short-fiber filled composites-including progressive failure analysis to help reduce testing and shorten design cycles by identifying potentially unforeseen design and material deficiencies.

We will discuss how to leverage Autodesk Inventor® Fusion technology as the front-end modeler and idealization tool for Autodesk Moldflow. We will show how to use Inventor Fusion to import CAD data, then edit and simplify it in preparation for Autodesk Moldflow simulation. We will discuss the techniques to simplify a part model and make design changes, such as modifying the part thickness and adding ribs, using Inventor Fusion. We will also discuss the alternative workflow of starting the simulation process in Autodesk Moldflow Insight, launching Inventor Fusion from Autodesk Moldflow Insight to modify geometry, and then rerunning the solver analysis in Autodesk Moldflow Insight.
