In today’s fast-paced construction industry, bridging the gap between real-world conditions and digital-project environments is key to achieving accuracy, minimizing errors, and streamlining project delivery. Reality capture technologies, such as laser scanning, allow teams to document site conditions with precision. However, turning that raw data into actionable models and coordinating them across disciplines can be a challenge without the right tools and workflow. This lab will help you to set up a practical workflow that integrates ReCap Pro 2026, Revit, and the module in Construction Cloud to enable efficient scan-to-BIM and processes. It will demonstrate how point cloud data can be used not just for modeling, but also for coordination and clash detection, using mesh representations and cloud collaboration.

In complex civil infrastructure projects—such as highways, bridges, and utilities—the ability to turn field data into actionable insights is essential for performance, safety, and cost control. This session will show how MRS Logística used Build software and Insight Builder to convert raw field inputs into real-time analytics, enabling smarter and faster decisions across project lifecycles. By structuring data from Issues, RFIs, Checklists, and Forms, MRS created dynamic dashboards that track physical progress, monitor compliance, and surface predictive alerts before risks escalate. These insights connected field operations with executive decision making, providing transparency over construction quality, schedule health, and contract performance. You’ll learn how to structure data flows from the field, configure Insight Builder rules, and deploy scalable dashboards that support real-time monitoring, predictive insights, and strategic oversight in civil infrastructure delivery.

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) will share key lessons learned from its journey toward using BIM, geographic information system (GIS), and asset management for better project delivery and capital planning. Large project and asset owners will learn how Massport turns project, spatial, and asset data into actionable insights for better decision making. This session will highlight how Massport manages more than 200 capital projects across five airport/seaport campuses using BIM-enabled workflows. You'll learn how Autodesk Forma is used as a common data environment to collaborate with design and construction teams, enable on-time digital delivery, and create a virtual campus as a single source of truth supporting Massport's broader digital transformation goals.

Rivian is bridging the gap from Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) to a full-scale digital twin by treating asset data as a product not a byproduct. In this session, we'll show you how assets are structured in Autodesk Forma, live-linked to model elements in Autodesk Tandem using Tandem Connect, and integrated with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) systems to form a single, reliable asset backbone. We'll break down the data standards, ID strategy, and integration patterns that connect design, construction, and operations. Using real examples unique to Rivian manufacturing plants, we'll share lessons learned from early pilots, and we'll describe how we manage change so teams across design, field ops, maintenance, and finance can all trust and use the same digital twin.

AI-powered animation is only as good as the data behind it, but most motion data wasn't designed for AI. In this session, we'll demonstrate a projection-mapped capture app that guides performers in real time to produce more-structured motion. As well as how Label Maker, a tool integrated within the Autodesk ecosystem, uses AI to turn raw motion data and videos into richly tagged, reusable data sets. You will walk away with a clearer picture of how to make motion data actually usable for AI, and how to rethink their pipelines to get there. The real value of motion data isn't in the capture it's in the enrichment.

A major crisis facing the VDC industry is model bloat. On large scale projects, placing thousands of dynamic, deeply nested native Revit hangers or small components triggers endless CPU parametric calculations that cripple model health, max out workstation RAM, and freeze synchronization times. To break this bottleneck, our product team chose a disruptive approach: pivoting away from standard Revit Families (.rfa) entirely and adopting Revit DirectShape technology. In this session, we will deep dive into the strategic evaluation behind moving the parametric engine outside of Revit to process calculations externally. We will demonstrate how injecting raw geometry directly into the project environment bypasses the family constraint solver, turning slow CPU-bound processing into fluid, GPU-driven visualization. Finally, learn how we map standard Shared Parameters to these elements to retain 100% of required BIM scheduling and tagging data.

Operational efficiency isn't just about speed it's about consistency, control, and clarity. In this session, we'll explore how the latest updates in Autodesk Forma are helping teams standardize processes, streamline administration, and turn project data into meaningful insights. We'll cover recent enhancements and what's coming next across Project and Hub Admin, Bridge, Templates, Library, Reports, Data Connector, Dashboards, and more. Learn how we're reducing setup time, increasing governance, and unlocking insights across projects and portfolios. If you want to scale smarter and operate with confidence, this session will deliver a clear path forward.

Everyone wants AI in construction. Almost no one has data ready for it. Poor structure, inconsistent metadata, and fragmented workflows hold most teams back. This session will share real-world lessons from Stowe Australia, implementing Autodesk Forma as a common data environment (CDE) to fix that problem. Learn how ISO 19650 principles, standardized templates, and disciplined workflows turn messy project information into structured, usable data. The result? A scalable foundation for analytics, automation, and AI across projects, teams, and the wider business.

Discover how better prompts can transform the way you work with Autodesk Assistant in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. The feature just landed as a tech preview, but users who get value from it share one thing: They know how to ask. Most people type something vague, get a poor result, and move on. As the product team behind this experience, we've seen where the gaps are ambiguous scope, missing context, overly broad requests. This session will use live before/after demos to show you how prompts with clear tasks, contexts, and constraints turn frustrating results into reliable outcomes for workflows like standards checks, counts, queries, and style changes. Whether you're a drafter or CAD manager, you'll leave with a prompt template library your team can adopt right away.

IFC 4.3 enables open data exchange for infrastructure, yet many teams struggle to turn IFC exports into information that projects can rely on. This session will move beyond export steps and focus on using IFC effectively on infrastructure projects. You'll learn how IFC 4.3 works once it leaves Civil 3D software, including how models are governed, versioned, reviewed, and trusted. Topics will include model view definitions, the IFC Reference View for civil infrastructure, and common mistakes that reduce value. The session will also introduce Autodesk Forma Data Management as a practical way to manage IFC delivery at scale, supporting controlled sharing and review. You'll leave with guidance on positioning IFC as a trusted project resource.

Model-based takeoff for linear civil projects sounds great, until Civil 3D-to-IFC exports leave out the quantities and metadata needed to actually price the work. In this session, Kyle Field and Josh Boardman from ISL Engineering will show how they used Civil 3D, Dynamo, and Autodesk Forma Takeoff software to bridge that gap. You will see how custom Civil 3D property sets can turn 3D solids into takeoff-ready bid items by embedding missing length and area data, carrying standardized bid item information, and making model objects easier to isolate and quantify. The result is a more scalable workflow with less retracing, stronger QA/QC, and cleaner estimating outputs for linear civil projects.

Intelligent models are often underused after design, remaining static and disconnected from real-world operations. This session will present a real-world deployment in a metropolitan rail system, where BIM is transformed into a live, AI-powered predictive maintenance platform. Using IFC-based workflows derived from Revit software, models are converted into lightweight, web-ready formats and integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) sensor data at the asset level. An AI layer enables anomaly detection and failure prediction, reducing unplanned downtime and improving maintenance efficiency. You will gain a practical understanding of how to extend BIM into an operational digital twin and implement scalable, data-driven maintenance strategies.

At the top of this session, I'll give an AI agent a real electrical design task: review the electrical system in a Revit model, determine what's circuited, identify what needs power, and circuit those loads. Along the way it will hit the questions an engineer actually has to answer. Do we add another panel, or work with what's there? How do we split the loads across panels? While the agent works in the background, we'll look at how MCP connects AI to Revit, what tools an electrical engineer might give an agent, and where the engineer needs to stay in control. You'll leave knowing what AI agents can and can't reliably do in Revit today, and how to start experimenting yourself. Whether the agent succeeds, stalls, or takes a wrong turn, you'll see exactly where the line falls.

Most sustainability strategies never make it into daily work. Teams struggle to turn ambition into decisions, data flows, and repeatable processes. This session will explore three sustainability workflows that are actually working today: design-phase carbon estimation, AI-enabled inspection, and material selection informed by connected product and carbon data. We'll examine how these workflows are structured, where they break, and what it takes to implement them across tools, teams, and data sources drawing on examples from technology partners such as One Click LCA and VAPAR. You'll leave with a practical framework for turning sustainability goals into operational workflows.

Many owners have rich Revit and AutoCAD data but after handoff, that information is often difficult for operations teams to use in workflows. This session will show how to turn design data into a floor-aware indoor geographic information system (GIS) that supports operations across campuses, airports, and other facilities. You'll learn how to transform CAD/BIM data into an indoor system of record for maps, assets, spaces, safety, and occupants. We'll walk through implementation patterns and data import methods from CAD/BIM into ArcGIS Indoors, using location as a framework to move from handoff to operational value. See real examples from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where BIM data was converted into operational twins for assets, spaces, and situational awareness.

For too long, BIM data quality for operations has been treated as a downstream problem discovered late, remediated manually, and handed over with gaps that limit long-term value. In reality, these are rarely technical failures, but governance failures. This class will explore how organizations can shift from reactive records remediation to upstream prevention by introducing a BIM governance coordinator role: bridging client requirements, internal standards, and multidisciplinary delivery teams to ensure expectations are understood, tracked, and enforced throughout the project lifecycle turning BIM deliverables into more-reliable operational assets.
