AutoCAD (& verticals) Plant 3D, and Revit all have different workflows with ACC/BIM 360 projects and the Desktop Connector. After many challenging hours I believe I have finally found a way to explain the various ACC/BIM 360 workflows and would like to share this knowledge with everyone else who's also dealing with all these various workflows and collaboration options. Specifically, I'm going to cover working with Revit, Plant 3D, and Civil 3D (same workflows for AutoCAD) with ACC and/or BIM 360 projects. I'll also cover the Desktop Connector 15 and 16 and the differences we've encountered, good and bad.

In this lab, you will learn how to use AutoCAD, Revit and Docs to build an ACC Cloud based Revit model utilizing your 2D AutoCAD file stored on Docs. It will then go in to how to collaborate your Revit model with other stakeholder models (MEP/Structure).

This masterclass will cover how to link PlanGrid with next-generation BIM 360 Docs software by utilizing the power of data collection through BIM 360 workflows and PlanGrid field reports. The speaker will be able to demonstrate the added benefit of being able to maximize data for trend analysis via Microsoft Power Bi and automatic modeling by integrating the output with Dynamo software. We will cover basic principles of PlanGrid and usability for the average user, alongside best practices, work-arounds, shortcuts, limitations, and benefits. We will explore an array of case studies, giving live project application examples and how they’ve integrated with external tools, such as What3Words.

The goal of this class is to demonstrate how contractors, like Kirby Engineering can leverage Big Data on projects. Kirby Engineering is currently harvesting information from the site team through QC checklists, Rfi submittals, drawing reviews, contract delivery and desktop audits on BIM 360 & Autodesk Construction Cloud. Kirby Engineering champion team would like to demonstrate the development of a business dashboard that would allow senior Directors make project decisions based on real data. Kirby team has set up an internal Data reporting team where ACC has proven to be central to the project data reported back. Other areas of focus include but are not limited to the use of integrations and tools to support data-driven decisions, such as Data Connector, PowerBi and ACC Connect. The class will be delivered by the customer together with Autodesk Customer Success team to demonstrate the importance of collaboration between construction customers and their technology partners.

The Copenhagen Metro embarked on the challenge of transitioning to Autodesk Construction Cloud for the design and construction of the new M5 Metro Line. This presentation aims to share our journey of harnessing the capabilities of Workato to establish efficient workflows and automations. These initiatives facilitated Autodesk Construction Cloud implementation and enhanced user satisfaction of the platform. With cooperation from Autodesk, we've managed to speed up implementation of Autodesk Docs and Autodesk Build modules, decrease time spent on tedious self-repeating tasks, increase quality, and use the functionalities of other tools by integrating applications with Autodesk Construction Cloud to create a holistic CDE.

In this class, we’ll discuss how to connect siloed data to integrated data to support efficient EPC delivery. Specifically, we’ll discuss various applications of the “recipes” (workflows) to extract files and metadata within the common data environment (CDE)—i.e., BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Assemble—to move to platforms such as Aconex and Microsoft SharePoint, and comply with ISO 19650 requirements. Additionally, the extracted data can be used to automate creation of dashboards to monitor progress of design quantity takeoffs, construction installation, issues resolution, and most other data available via the Autodesk Forge APIs. Recipes can be used for a single project or at an account level (across several projects).
