This class will take a close look at how the immersive planetarium show Signs of Life was produced. We'll discuss how art and science are merged to create extraordinary content through a public private partnership. You'll learn how it was possible through the building of a new animation production studio inside the existing science institution, Griffith Observatory. We'll look at how a producer works from concept to completion, from development to final delivery and everything in-between. The class will show how Autodesk's Shotgun software was implemented at the center of the production studio pipeline and how that enabled the team to create, track, review and render the show.

Increased renewable energy in power grids has reduced the load factor of coal-based power plants. Independent thermal power producers face regulations to shut plants or operate at reduced load. However, there are grid stability and availability issues with solar and wind power. To address both, existing thermal power plants need to operate flexibly. In this mode, a plant quickly ramps down from 100% load to as low as 30% and ramps back up, based on renewable surplus or deficit, respectively. This deviation from actual design parameters leads to thermal mechanical stresses in equipment, impacting equipment life and site personnel safety. Material residual life is studied under such adverse operating conditions. Challenge is handled by modeling and simulating wide variations in steam process conditions on thick-walled piping. Autodesk Fusion 360 and Autodesk CFD software help us understand transient thermal behavior. This talk will focus on new business prospects, and how to predict equipment life and ensure grid stability.

In this class, we will look at EDGE and how this tool can be used to detail precast concrete, from conceptual design and estimating to final design and production. From providing real-time estimates to maintaining rebar naming conventions, and anywhere in between, EDGE is the platform that lets Revit users work at the fine level of detail required by the precast concrete industry.

Can a multidisciplinary team across countries and companies deliver a better wastewater treatment plant, faster, by working as one? At AU 2026, Sweco's Zinta Rize shares the Kongsberg WWTP: a project that doubled capacity while meeting strict EU standards. Using Plant 3D, Revit, Civil 3D, and ACC as a single source of truth, plus VR reviews in Autodesk Workshop XR, the team broke silos and improved coordination. Results: 25% efficiency gain, 15% less 3D effort, and major reductions in 2D drafting. The schedule is never done. Plans change and schedules needs to adapt. Project scope, deadlines, and resource availability are all constraints that impact a schedule. These constraints often change throughout a project's lifecycle, and production teams need to be capable of making swift adjustments to keep their projects moving forward. On large-scale productions with thousands of tasks, making these changes can be a massive undertaking. Generative Scheduling is a tool that facilitates large-scale schedule iteration, pulling production schedules from Autodesk Flow Production Tracking. In this session, we'll look at how to use Generative Scheduling, use constraints to iterate on and optimize a schedule, create hypothetical scheduling scenarios, and use resource shaping to refine schedules. In this workshop, we'll discuss how we used Maya software to create our short film Scrap Metal. We will take a deep dive into what kickstarted the project, how we got it funded, and all the technical and creative challenges. We'll also talk about managing a short film of this scale and complexity on an indie budget. At the end, we'll discuss the further development of the IP, and where we want to go next.

Finally, this class will show you how to use view templates to maintain the drafting integrity required for precast shop drawings.
