Network Rail is the owner-operator of the railway infrastructure in England, Scotland, and Wales, which includes 20,000 miles of track and 30,000 bridges, tunnels, viaducts; and employs more than 37,000 staff. In this new era of technology, Network Rail produces vast amounts of digital information and relies on terabytes of point-cloud data, 3D modeling, and instant access to information to help develop and maintain tomorrow’s railway infrastructure. In this session, we’ll show how Network Rail managed the challenge to move away from data drives and siloed working with large 3D scans and data sets. As part of their digital transformation journey, Network Rail used the Autodesk digital workplace and BIM 360 software as their collaboration platform to connect project teams to rapidly access big-data scans. Teams have instant access to the latest design software without the need for hardware upgrade or transportation of large data sets across project participants.

This infrastructure symposium session is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) discussion focused on effective practices between owners and the engineering ecosystem regarding large transportation projects. Do you manage infrastructure projects involving airports, rail, or ports? Do you work for an engineering firm that provides engineering, design, or construction on those projects? This session is for you if your projects often cross multiple designs (architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil); if they require intense collaboration across design disciplines, owners, and construction contractors; and if they require a BIM manager. Get advice from BIM experts in the industry and participate in a discussion regarding needs and perspectives from both owners and the engineering/contractor ecosystem. This is a breakout to the Infrastructure Symposium on Monday.

The future of sustainable design isn't about creating more data - it's about transforming fragmented information into connected intelligence that helps teams make better decisions, earlier. In this panel discussion, leaders from VINCI Construction and Autodesk will explore how AI, digital platforms, and connected workflows are helping project teams access the right data, in the right context, at the right time. Drawing on major infrastructure and building projects, biodiversity research, and digital transformation initiatives, the panel will examine how project requirements, environmental intelligence, and organizational knowledge can be brought together into one layered system to inform design decisions from the earliest stages of a project.

The rapid growth of data centers is challenging traditional approaches to design and delivery. Project-by-project workflows are no longer scalable, leading to inefficiencies and inconsistent outcomes. This session will explore how AI-driven digital twins developed through Autodesk Tandem software and enabled by collaborative workflows in Autodesk Forma can support a scalable and repeatable approach to mission-critical infrastructure. You'll learn how to connect early-stage planning, detailed design, and operations into a continuous data-driven process. And you'll see how to replicate solutions across multiple sites while maintaining performance, quality, and speed.

What an owner expects inside the model has changed dramatically in recent years. The model has stopped being just a coordination artifact, it feeds prefab, production tracking, field deliverables, and facilities maintenance. On mission-critical work, and especially data centers, the stakes climb even higher because electrical infrastructure sits on the critical path and schedules leave no room for delay. The gap between a standard model and what is expected now shows up as measurable hours per project, and it lands hardest on teams that are already running at capacity. This session draws on patterns Augmenta is seeing across a wide range of mission critical projects, breaking down how teams are meeting demand by generating data rich models from the start rather than back filling detail under deadline pressure.

Ground models are the missing link between site investigation and infrastructure design. Engineers make critical decisions on alignments, crossings, and foundations while the subsurface remains a black box data arriving late, locked in static reports, or in formats incompatible with the design environment. GeoDin Ground for Civil 3D software is changing that. In this session, we'll present the latest advances in 3D ground modeling inside Civil 3D, including direct AGS file ingestion and autoconversion eliminating the need for a preexisting database and letting teams start directly with received data. You'll see the ground take shape inside Civil 3D, evolving into a 3D model that drives critical design choices and reduces project risk from day one.

IFC 4.3 enables open data exchange for infrastructure, yet many teams struggle to turn IFC exports into information that projects can rely on. This session will move beyond export steps and focus on using IFC effectively on infrastructure projects. You'll learn how IFC 4.3 works once it leaves Civil 3D software, including how models are governed, versioned, reviewed, and trusted. Topics will include model view definitions, the IFC Reference View for civil infrastructure, and common mistakes that reduce value. The session will also introduce Autodesk Forma Data Management as a practical way to manage IFC delivery at scale, supporting controlled sharing and review. You'll leave with guidance on positioning IFC as a trusted project resource.

In a reality of more than 200 railway infrastructure projects running simultaneously, data fragmentation is not a risk it's inevitable. This technical deep dive will show you how MRS Logística tackles this challenge by refining BIM requirements and building a standardized common data environment (CDE) in Autodesk Forma. From issues and daily reports to audits, model coordination, cost, and schedule, workflows are structured and connected at scale. Discover how Autodesk Assistant enables structured analysis and how the Insight Builder tool turns connected data into real-time intelligence driving consistency, reliability, and faster decision making across projects.

Many organizations adopt Autodesk Forma industry cloud as their common data environment (CDE) for BIM collaboration. But complex infrastructure projects rely on far more than BIM tools alone. Traffic modeling, hydraulic analysis, geotechnical simulations, and geographic information system (GIS) workflows often depend on specialized software that cannot operate effectively within cloud collaboration platforms. This session will show how Parsons implemented a practical CDE architecture with Autodesk Forma at the center of coordination while supporting discipline-specific production environments. You'll learn how clear governance, ISO 19650 alignment, and defined workflows can unify multidisciplinary collaboration without constraining engineering delivery.

Nature-based solutions (NbS) are reshaping how civil teams deliver resilient water infrastructure. Yet integrating watershed-scale insights into detailed design remains a challenge. This session will show how The Nature Conservancy applied targeted training and InfraWorks and Civil 3D software to connect regional watershed analysis with site-level engineering workflows. Learn how to translate watershed data into design inputs, develop NbS concepts into constructible models, and maintain data continuity across planning and design phases. See how connected workflows improved cross-team collaboration, enabled earlier decision making, and reduced project risk in real-world water infrastructure projects.

Heirloom Carbon, a direct air capture (DAC) company, shares how its infrastructure team turned Autodesk Forma (including Forma Data Management, Forma Build, and Forma Takeoff) into a reliable, daily delivery platform. Like many architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) teams, they faced inconsistent onboarding, fragmented document control, and unclear governance across projects. This session will break down how the team established a scalable common data environment (CDE) through standardized templates, permissions, and workflows issues. You'll see how they improved collaboration, reduced rework, and increased delivery capacity, and you'll understand what failed or took longer than expected. Walk away with a practical playbook to configure and standardize Autodesk Forma for consistent, scalable project delivery.

After the 2024 floods in southern Brazil, the Rio Grande do Sul State faced an urgent challenge: how to deliver public schools faster with quality and at scale. This session presents the Escola+ project, a modular and standardized school model developed using BIM. Instead of unique designs, schools are assembled from a catalog of more than 60 modules that can be combined to meet different educational and site requirements. Using Autodesk Revit and Forma, the digital workflow integrates design data, cloud collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, accelerating project delivery while improving coordination, consistency, and predictability. Attendees will learn how modular BIM workflows can help scale resilient public-school infrastructure.

In large-scale infrastructure, "coordination chaos" is a common reality. When teams use different tools and inconsistent methods, design mistakes are often caught too late. This leads to expensive rework, missed deadlines, and increased project risk. As projects grow across disciplines, keeping everyone aligned becomes a massive challenge. In this session, we'll share how Ramboll tamed this complexity by building a standardized, scalable framework using Autodesk Forma industry cloud (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud). Using the 2025 IFC Viewer, Autodesk Platform Services, and Insight dashboards, Ramboll moved from disconnected software to a single, unified system. We've aligned our digital process with ISO 19650 to ensure data moves smoothly from one project phase to the next.

As owners and operators increasingly rely on digital twins, geographic information systems (GIS), and asset management platforms, expectations for consistent, accurate, and information‑rich civil deliverables continue to rise. Yet many Civil 3D workflows still rely on manual asset attribution, introducing risk, rework, and inconsistency. This session will explore how Civil 3D and Dynamo can be used to automate asset attribution, using a real‑world airport-infrastructure case study with the Houston Airports System (HAS). You will learn how rule‑based logic, Civil 3D object intelligence, and standardized data schemas are used to populate attributes for linear and point‑based assets, then export attribution‑ready data for GIS and asset management systems.
