Description
After the 2024 floods in southern Brazil, the Rio Grande do Sul State faced an urgent challenge: how to deliver public schools faster with quality and at scale. This session presents the Escola+ project, a modular and standardized school model developed using BIM. Instead of unique designs, schools are assembled from a catalog of more than 60 modules that can be combined to meet different educational and site requirements. Using Autodesk Revit and Forma, the digital workflow integrates design data, cloud collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, accelerating project delivery while improving coordination, consistency, and predictability. Attendees will learn how modular BIM workflows can help scale resilient public-school infrastructure.
Key Learnings
- Evaluate how modular construction can be applied to public school projects.
- Identify strategies for BIM modeling with Autodesk Revit to scale public school infrastructure programs.
- Integrate resilient design strategies into public school projects while considering the needs of future generations.
- Explore how cloud-based collaboration in Autodesk Forma support coordination between the public and private sectors.
