Description
With the manufacturing focus being on providing a credible TurnMill platform for Fusion customers in FY24, this session will look to give an overview of the TurnMill discipline and will cover why and where these machines are commonly used within Industry. A focus on the different machine types and configurations that are available to our customers including the benefits and limitations of additional axis, spindles and turrets. We would also look to focus on how the processes are commonly automated.
Key Learnings
- Identify key components of a TurnMill machine.
- Identify work and tool holding options and calculate speed/feed data.
- Create suitable basic tooling for a TurnMill component in Fusion.
- Create appropriate Turning toolpaths for collision free simulation.
