Circular design approaches require both the right mindset and the right toolset

There are two aspects to sustainable design: the mindset and the toolset. The mindset, formed through education and increased awareness, is important so that we can prioritize circular design principles and energy efficiency. The toolset is what will enable us to turn those ideas and priorities into sustainable products and buildings. Zoe Bezpalko shares how Autodesk software provides the toolset for circular and sustainable design, empowering designers to create energy-efficient products, select sustainable materials, and get visibility through the entire product or building lifecycle, so that they can make the decisions in the design phase that will reduce the negative impact during manufacturing, use, and disposal.

About the speaker

Zoe Bezpalko is building her career at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and design. With a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and an MBA in Design Strategy, she has international experience in helping organizations become sustainable, through innovative design solutions and business models. At Autodesk, she now leads sustainability strategy for product design and manufacturing, identifying technology to maximize value for Autodesk, its customers, and the planet.
