Description
Electrical engineers are often forced to make major design decisions early, with limited information and rapidly changing project conditions. In this hands-on lab, you will use Revit Electrical Analytical Systems tools to create connected, data-rich workflows for schematic and early design. You'll define analytical area loads and analytical equipment loads, create analytical equipment, and connect and evaluate loading scenarios to make better design decisions with minimal model information for better project outcomes. Using these tools early in your design process can give you better understanding of current loading scenarios and help you plan for future expansions with minimal effort.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to define area-based electrical loads from conceptual building information to support schematic design decisions.
- Learn how to develop analytical electrical load models using equipment loads and load sets for early design studies.
- Learn how to construct a conceptual distribution hierarchy in Revit to study connected and demand loads across the system.
- Learn how to interpret analytical results with Revit views, the System Browser, and schedules to improve coordination.
