Description
Join Jesce Walz of Perkins&Will and Phil Northcott of Building Transparency for a sneak preview of tallyCAT, an initiative of Autodesk, Building Transparency, Perkins&Will, and C-Change Labs. tallyCAT builds on the successful Tally tool (developed by KieranTimberlake). tallyCAT helps Revit users get accurate material takeoffs, highlights high-carbon materials, and provides third-party verified data about climate impacts and impact reduction opportunities. tallyCAT links the Revit model live to the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3), and helps design practices to build and manage libraries of carbon-efficient materials and assemblies. tallyCAT allows teams to track and reduce carbon with live feedback throughout the delivery process, promoting transparency, clean industry, and innovation.
Key Learnings
- Learn about how the embodied carbon of building materials impacts climate.
- Learn how to use the Tally Climate Action Tool (tallyCAT) with Revit and EC3 to find high-impact building materials and available savings.
- Learn about engaging with design teams and suppliers to reduce climate impacts of building materials.
- Learn about generating LEED and procurement reports that demonstrate impact reduction.
