    Description

Many customers are struggling to migrate high volumes of existing Revit Cloud Worksharing models from BIM 360 to Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud). The process is often manual, slow, and difficult to scale. Autodesk Platform Services now offers developers a batch workflow that can automate this migration using Autodesk APIs. In this session, Zhong Wu, Autodesk developer advocate, will show what the new Autodesk Platform Services migration capability makes possible, while Moses Scott, platform architect at Woolpert, will show why linked-model scenarios still require preflight diagnostics, user-visible link-state guidance, and control-plane thinking before migration proceeds.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to build an Autodesk Platform Services-based workflow for batch migration of Revit Cloud Worksharing models.
    • Learn when to use a control plane.
    • Learn how to assess linked-model conditions and determine when preflight diagnostics are required before migration.
    • Compare direct migration paths for stand-alone models with governed migration paths for linked models.
