Description
The Revit Structural Connections tool brings steel connections into the design environment, and using it as a structural design consultant might require borrowing strategies from detailing and fabrication workflows. This session will share lessons learned from developing connections for the Revit 2027 Snowden Towers Sample Project, focusing on how engineers can effectively use the tool in a design workflow. Through practical examples, we'll explore approaches to connection modeling, as well as key considerations and ways to get useful results without overcomplicating the process. The goal is to help structural engineers understand where the tool fits, how to use it efficiently, and how to make it work within their projects.
Key Learnings
- Discover how the Structural Connections tool fits within a structural design consultant workflow.
- Learn about and examine connection examples to understand modeling approaches and key decision points.
- Learn where the tool is effective for design and how to use it efficiently in practice.
- Learn how to use Structural Connections in your own design workflows.
