Description
Construction does not have a data shortage; it has a decision-support shortage. What project teams lack is a reliable way to continuously assemble the live state of a project across time, space, and cost, using that understanding to make better project decisions. This session will introduce the grounded world model as that missing layer, fusing multisensor site signals with previously siloed project evidence such as drawings, site photos, and BIM. Unlike a digital twin, which reflects current conditions, a world model can reason over relationships and support action when conditions start to shift, while supporting agentic issue detection. This points to a fundamentally different way of managing construction from a living model of the site.
Key Learnings
- Learn about and compare how a grounded world model and a digital twin support different construction planning and decision-making tasks.
- Learn about the data and evidence needed to assemble a live project state across time, space, role, and cost.
- Learn how traceability to drawings, specs, RFIs, and other evidence can increase confidence in planning decisions.
- Learn how agentic issue-detection workflows can surface emerging problems before they lead to delays, or cost growth.
