Description
The offsite construction industry is scaling, but the graduates entering it have been trained for a world of bespoke ETO delivery. No accredited degree program teaches configure-to-order workflows, manufacturing product definition, modular interface standards, or offsite logistics. The industry is hiring for skills that schools don't yet teach. This session will present the MBI-CfOC Offsite Construction Accreditation Initiative a joint effort between the Modular Building Institute and the Center for Offsite Construction to establish the first accredited degree pathway for the industrialized construction workforce. With materials nearly complete and first accreditation discussions happening, let's understand what the next generation of offsite-trained talent will know, and how to build a firm that can absorb them.
Key Learnings
- Learn about the specific workforce skills the offsite industry needs that no current accredited degree program teaches.
- Learn about the MBI-CfOC model offsite degree map and how it aligns education with CTO workflows and digital tools.
- Learn about the accreditation framework's implications for hiring, training pipelines, and competitive advantage in AEC firms.
- Learn how Autodesk tools can be positioned in the model degree map as the digital environment for CTO delivery.
