Description
Process plant projects require tight alignment between plant design and manufacturing. Yet, these areas are often disconnected, causing rework, delays, and fabrication errors. This session will show how design decisions impact manufacturing using a water treatment plant example. We'll demonstrate how Autodesk's Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection and Product Design & Manufacturing Collection create a connected, design-led workflow from layout to fabrication. The session will also highlight common breakdowns in design-to-manufacturing workflows and how Autodesk Platform Services and structured data improve collaboration. This session is relevant for water treatment, energy, and industrial facilities industries.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to align AEC and manufacturing workflows within a unified design process for process plants.
- Learn how to structure plant and system design data to support downstream engineering and fabrication.
- Learn how to identify breakdowns between design and manufacturing and understand how to resolve them.
- Learn about applying integration strategies using Autodesk Platform Services to maintain continuity between the AEC Collection and Product Design & Manufacturing Collection environments.
