    Description

This session will look at a case study on delivering reinforcement shop drawings for viaducts and station buildings using Revit software at metro scale. SYSTRA India adapted building-centered workflows to infrastructure precast through a template-to-transmittal strategy which included: standardized content and shared parameters; parametric rebar families aligned to fabricator shape codes; and automation for numbering, scheduling, and batch sheet creation. Rule‑based QA checks, strict revision control, and ERP‑ready exports ensured traceability from model to yard. Results included 30% to 40% faster turnarounds.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to streamline reinforcement shop drawings through clash-free workflows coordinated with PT, embeds, and inserts.
    • Learn about standardizing and accelerating 2D reinforcement shop-drawing sheet preparation.
    • Learn how to improve time and cost efficiency in shop-drawing production.
    • Learn about producing fabrication deliverables, including the generation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and shop drawings.
