Description
As a partner to Delta Air Lines, Burns & McDonnell (BMcD) reached for the sky on this unique terminal design. The program began as a renovation of the existing terminals and evolved into the design of a brand-new consolidated terminal, which included four concourses, a head house, a taxi stack, and a parking garage. In this endeavor, BMcD joined forces with the client, the subconsultants, and the construction manager for a true collaboration. BMcD used an array of Autodesk products across the entire program lifecycle, from design through construction, at the heart of which was Autodesk Construction Cloud. Autodesk Construction Cloud enabled BMcD and 25 subconsultants to work seamlessly and efficiently on a single platform, across multiple office locations, and through a pandemic. Keeping the terminals fully operational continuously through construction was critical. This project was only possible with the entire team engaged in real time on Autodesk Construction Cloud. In the end, the ability to collaborate allowed for an efficient and prestigious design deliverable.
