Description
The Centre Block Rehabilitation is the restoration and renovation of Canada's seat of Parliament, including the removal, repair, and reconditioning of the building's heritage assets. Using point cloud data, Autodesk Forma Build, Revit, and Dynamo software, the construction manager's virtual design and construction (VDC) team modeled every heritage asset requiring tracking and repair. Through Forma Build, the heritage team efficiently tracks and manages stonework for approximately 1,000,000 assets. This approach reduced costs by 40% while meeting schedule requirements. Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) centralizes issue tracking, scope changes, shop drawings, and asset management, streamlining the entire process using connected data and integrated workflows.
