Description
This presentation goes back to the basics and looks at the value and cost drivers of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in 4 main economic categories: users' experience and skill level, the BIM policies of the project or firm, scalability, and level of utilization. The session will introduce many subtopics of these categories, each of which is its own lever or driver of costs. Some will be abstract, others concrete-but if a firm studies them, it can identify drivers to prioritize if they increase value, or control if they raise costs wastefully.
Key Learnings
- Discover factors responsible for driving value and costs in BIM projects
- Discover how to search and identify sources of value and cost drivers in a BIM workflow
- Get examples of how to prioritize drivers of value in a BIM project
- See examples of how to control costs when cost drivers are identified
