Repurposing manufacturing content for BIM presents unique challenges. The Informed Design API represents a revolutionary new approach. Get hands-on experience with Informed Design in this lab-style class and test the workflow for yourself. We'll learn how Revit users can discover, configure, and place native Revit families (RFA) into Revit projects that originated in Inventor manufacturing software. We’ll learn how manufacturers of productized building components can publish designs with reduced detail for design in Revit. We’ll learn how to assess a Revit project for Informed Design components and automatically generate manufacturing outputs such as shop drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) for each variant. We'll learn how manufacturers can securely and with controlled permissions publish content to Informed Design via Autodesk Docs software, and how revisions can be consumed in Revit.
