Description
Learn how to automate decision making in type 5 designs by connecting structural analysis, product data, and off-site construction workflows across the Autodesk platform. This class will demonstrate how to integrate a Structural Analysis Design Engine (SADE) with Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) to automate shear wall placement, then propagate those requirements through Informed Design to drive product behavior. Using the Informed Design API and parametric logic authored in Inventor software, we'll embed structural intelligence into configurable wall panels assigned to Autodesk Forma masses enabling consistent, data-driven outcomes from early design through fabrication.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to connect structural outputs to Autodesk Forma to automate shear wall placement in Type V projects.
- Learn how to apply Informed Design APIs via Dynamo to propagate structural requirements and enforce product rules across design workflows.
- Learn how to integrate parametric logic from Inventor to create configurable wall panels that reflect real-world structural constraints.
- Learn how to automate panel generation in Revit using Informed Design workflows in Dynamo.
