Description
In this session, we will teach you the best practices for exchanging data between Civil 3D software, InfraWorks software, Inventor software, and Revit software. We will get into the differences of the software interactions when using FBX or IMX or Autodesk; the differences between creating Inventor Parts (single body versus multibody) versus Assemblies (with skeleton modeling and iLogic) and their advantages and disadvantages; and how this translates to Revit for detailing and what you need to watch out for in Revit.
Key Learnings
- Discover the differences between importing an Inventor part or assembly into InfraWorks.
- Discover the differences between working with FBX, IMX, and Autodesk files for data transfer between each application.
- Discover Revit detailing capabilities based on the InfraWorks component type and the data format.
- Discover tips for smooth coordination between Autodesk products in an accelerated bridge design process.
